Dr Jade Lindley researches extensively across several areas of international law with expertise in transnational crimes such as human trafficking, maritime piracy, corruption and fraud, and international environmental crimes, such as illegal fishing. 

Dr Lindley conducts mixed-methods research, combining international legal analysis with quantitative and in-country qualitative research, with a focus on the Indo-Asia-Pacific region. She has professional research experience working with the International Maritime Organization, United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute, and the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations.

In January 2021, saw the publication of Dr Lindley’s co-edited book, Routledge Handbook of International Environmental Law (2ed).

Among the team of accomplished academic experts who teach units offered in International Law, core units are taught by Dr Fiona McGaughey and Dr Melanie O’Brien.
