Admission Requirements

To be considered for admission to this course an applicant must have—a bachelor's degree, or an equivalent qualification, as recognised by UWA; and either:
(a) the equivalent of a UWA weighted average mark of at least 60 per cent;
or
(b) a valid Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) score of at least 550; or
(c) at least five years of relevant, documented professional experience considered by UWA (following an interview and assessment process) to be sufficient to permit satisfactory completion of the course.
1 GMAT is valid for 5 years.

Ranking and Selection Process

Where relevant, admission will be awarded to the highest ranked applicants or applicants selected based on the relevant requirements.

Course details

A successful government must design and implement policies that will further the economic and social interests of its citizens. The Graduate Certificate in Public Policy is designed to give graduate students an understanding of the role of the government in economic activity and public policy decision making. It focuses on how the government interacts with the economy through, for example: economic growth, stability, taxation, infrastructure provision, regulation, health, defence, education and social security.
