Aspire UWA encourages students to consider the opportunities that university education can provide.
Aspire UWA works with partner schools and communities in regional Western Australia and in Perth to raise aspirations for tertiary education.
Working together for a brighter future
We encourage students who would not normally consider university as an option to see the benefits and opportunities that university study offers.
Attending this camp has helped me to see what I can do in the future, what uni is like and what I'm interested in to study. Year 9 Kimberley student, on camp in 2013
Camp opened my eyes to the reality of uni and showed me it was nothing like I expected. Aspire UWA shows you all the opportunities they provide to help you get there. Year 11 Pilbara student
Our son came home from the UWA trip today so excited by what he saw, he really wants to go to university now, he thoroughly enjoyed the day. Parent, on their son's inclusion in the 2013 Race Around Campus event
We are working with secondary school students in the Gascoyne, Kimberley, Mid-West, Pilbara, and in Perth raising aspirations, building academic capacity and creating wonderful opportunities for success and life-long learning. Our students attend schools that traditionally have some of the lowest transfer rates to higher education of any in the nation. Aspire UWA and our partner schools are promoting a culture of academic achievement and desire for learning that is changing lives.
