Sports Science graduates will have the choice of three distinct career paths. You could enter the broad sports promotion, management and marketing sector. Or you might prefer a career in athlete preparation as an Exercise Scientist. This major can equip you, as a scientist, to further understand and analyse the human body, its movements and functions. With applications in today's elite sporting arenas, rehabilitation, fitness and health; and recreation sectors, this major can also lead into cutting edge, dynamic postgraduate research opportunities. Situated in one of the most prestigious academic institutions in Australia, UWA established Australia’s first degree in Sport and Exercise Science and whose foundation staff were integral to the establishment of the Australian Institute of Sport and its state based satellite institutes. UWA is a nation-wide leader in sports science with an ERA ranking of 5.
